Despite this, I must make a comment regarding the friendly attitudes and understanding of the other two vets with whom I previously made contact at this clinic.

The staff at Carroll Vet Clinic were very pleasant and helpful. They went above and beyond to help me spay a stray cat. They were very helpful when I had many questions. The office was nice and clean and the staff seemed to really love animals and their job. They even called to check on the cat the day after she came home. I would recommend this vet office and will be taking my dog there and another stray cat for a neuter surgery. Wonderful vet!

Dr. Mackenzie and her staff were extraordinary this week when I decided to say goodbye to my first ADCH, Roux. Not only did Dr. Adcock guide me with sound and practical guidance to prevent suffering last month, but the professionalism just got better when I showed up and asked for special attention during her last moments. I am so lucky to have a technician like Kim put a catheter in with such finesse, and to be able to say goodbye with dignity to an amazing companion who deserved no less than the extraordinary skill and care shown.

I understand that most medical clinicians will not agree with my aversion to pharmaceutical medicines and vaccines, but this vet could have responded more professionally and gracefully rather than dismissing us with with thinly veiled anger and disdain. If I could take back my comment about avoiding mainstream medicine, I would. It was an unnecessary retort to his righteous condemnation which led to a heated and abrupt end.

Unfortunately, I have to rate this clinic a 2 out of 5. Despite my excellent service for the first two of three visits, each visit with a different vet, the last and most recent visit was appalling. The vet had an obvious superiority complex often seen in the medical profession and felt compelled to impart information---albeit good information----with air of feigned sophistication that left one feeling as though he was accentuating the fact that he simply knew better than me. Well, that's fine; he's a professional and surely had my beloved pet's best interest at heart. My pet's problem was not serious, thankfully, and the vet wanted to prescribe both topical and oral medication. Given my research into adverse and systemic complications of mainstream medicine and vaccines, I hesitated to accept the oral medication and expressed my desire to do research before giving the medication to my pet. He seemed unhappy at that prospect and proceeded to question my dog's vaccine status and heart worm treatment regimen, the latter of which is an established herbal remedy. He stated that my elder pet was in excellent health and I responded, saying that I attribute it to the avoidance of mainstream medication and vaccines. His anger was beginning to show as he asked about my pet's rabies status. When I told him that the vaccine was not up to date, he snidely said that my pet will not be seen any further at the clinic.

We brought our dog to Carroll Vet Clinic after an emergency vet clinic had recommended a surgery at an outrageous price. The staff at Carroll Vet Clinic were more than helpful. They worked our dog into the schedule and exhausted all other options before recommending surgery. We were giving all the information relevant to our dogs condition, and it was relayed to us in a perfectly understandable way. The price range was much more reasonable and I believe our dog received the best care possible.

I have been coming here for nearly 18 years, since I moved here in '99. I have never received anything but excellent care here, and I have had a considerable number of cats & dogs. Thank you for all these years of care, and I look forward to many more.

We have brought many of our dogs to this vet and they have all received fantastic and compassionate care.
