Wish I'd read all the reviews before ordering breakfast. I did see the cinnamon bun review so I got that and eggs. Fantastic homemade bun, big as a dessert plate, ate most of it with really good coffee.
I just wish I lived closer, but a six hour ride for lunch, is a bit far, even for me.

They told us to come back as we left, full and happy. Since they're closed on Sunday, we might stop by for lunch if we're not driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Or else it will be next time we're in the area.
Disclaimer:We got to the Dutch Oven at 1:15 on a beautiful Saturday. They close at 2:30, so we were late in the day. They were literally out of everything we ordered, to the point that they gave us free pecan pie. The grilled chicken salad was good, if garlicky, and the Italian sub was huge and fresh. Go early in the day to get your first choice from the menu.
Fabulous surprise. Delicious lunch. As good a pastrami sandwich as you will find anywhere - even NYC! 5 minutes off the hwy. Very nice people. Bright, clean, cheerful. Love the new sign. Go for it!

I am diabetic, so I had to watch my brother eat this massive cinnamon roll for two days. Not fair!
Super friendly staff.
I couldn't empty my coffee cup before it was refilled. The waitress was sitting at a table (taking a minute to eat) behind me as I was counting chairs (36), she saw me looking around and jumped up and ran over to see if we needed anything.
My husband had eggs, bacon, toast, and french toast with fresh fruit. He actually offered me a piece of bacon because it was excellent, best I've had.
You order at the counter and pay and they bring your food to you. Drinks are in bottles and cans in the cooler.
